One person has died and another has serious injuries after a car crashed into a bank in Karaka last night.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Walters Rd and Blackbridge Rd at about 8:50pm.
A single car had crashed into a bank in the rural south Auckland area, a police spokesperson said.
鈥淥ne of the occupants sadly could not be revived by first responders and died at the scene, while the other was transported to hospital in a serious condition.鈥
The Serious Crash Unit attended the incident which remain under investigation.
A St John spokesperson said they responded to the incident with two ambulances, one rapid response and one manager.
鈥淲e transported one patient to hospital in a serious condition.鈥
One community member said they 鈥渉eard a huge bang鈥 followed by police sirens and lights in a social media post.
