Police have seized drugs and firearms from a house just 300 metres from the Timaru Central Police Station.
Officers executed a search warrant at the property around nine this morning.
Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Richard Quested said they found 22 cannabis plants growing in a shed at the property.
He said along with the plants, police seized a large sack of dried cannabis and a firearm.
A 38 year old man has been charged with cultivating cannabis and possession of cannabis for supply.
