Charges have been laid against a helicopter company involved in a fatal crash at Fox Glacier.
All seven people onboard were killed when the chopper crashed into a heavily crevassed area last November.
The Civil Aviation Authority had already suspended the Air Operating Certificate of Alpine Adventures managing director James Patrick Scott, grounding his 15-strong helicopter fleet.
Now it has confirmed charges have been filed with the courts.
Director of Civil Aviation Graeme Harris says the suspension came under the provision of Section 17 of the Civil Aviation Act, as it has concerns about the safety of the operation.
Investigations are continuing into the crash.
