New Plymouth Police are trying to locate a 26-year-old man who hasn't been seen since last night and who they believe might be injured.
They say Michael Trinder was last seen around 10 last night in Oakura, south of New Plymouth.
They say it's believed he may be injured following and incident so they are keen to locate him to ensure he is safe.
Police say Trinder is known to hitch hike and would like to speak to anyone who may have picked him up.
There are two warrants out for his arrest, but he's no considered dangerous.
