Iconic music producer Quincy Jones has died at the age of 91.

He famously produced Michael Jackson鈥檚 album Thriller, worked with the likes of Ray Charles and Frank Sinatra, and didn鈥檛 mince words when it came to sharing his opinions of the artists he worked with over the years.

Now, resurfaced comments have shown exactly how he felt about disgraced rapper Sean 鈥淒iddy鈥 Combs.

In 2012, Jones took a swipe at the rapper at a Spotify launch event in conversation with Bruno Mars, telling the audience Combs 鈥渨ouldn鈥檛 know a B-flat if it hit him鈥.

鈥淧 Diddy has a doctorate in marketing ... he鈥檚 got clothes companies and Ciroc vodka,鈥 Jones said at the time. He said it was important for musicians to 鈥渓earn your craft鈥.

He later wrote on Facebook that he didn鈥檛 mean to 鈥渄iss鈥 Combs.

鈥淚 have nothing but love and respect for Diddy and all that he has achieved as an artist and an executive. Always have and always will,鈥 he said.

Jones鈥 publicist, Arnold Robinson, confirmed the producer died on Sunday night at home in California surrounded by his family.

Family members, including his daughter Rashida Jones, who starred in The Office and Parks and Recreation, shared a statement.

鈥淭onight, with full but broken hearts, we must share the news of our father and brother Quincy Jones鈥 passing. And although this is an incredible loss for our family, we celebrate the great life that he lived and know there will never be another like him.鈥

Jones鈥 controversial claims about JFK, Michael Jackson and more

Following his death, Jones鈥 infamous 2018 interview with Vulture has also resurfaced.

During the wide-ranging chat, he told interviewer David Marchese he knew who killed John F. Kennedy, claiming Chicago mobster Sam Giancana was responsible and that 鈥渢he connection was there between Sinatra and the Mafia and Kennedy鈥.

鈥淛oe Kennedy 鈥 he was a bad man 鈥 he came to Frank to have him talk to Giancana about getting votes.鈥

Elsewhere, Jones claimed that Michael Jackson 鈥渟tole a lot of songs鈥 and lied about the reason he got plastic surgery.

鈥淚 used to kill him about the plastic surgery, man. He鈥檇 always justify it and say it was because of some disease he had,鈥 Jones alleged.

He also labelled the Beatles 鈥渢he worst musicians in the world鈥.

鈥淧aul was the worst bass player I ever heard. And Ringo? Don鈥檛 even talk about it,鈥 he said.

Elsewhere, he claimed actor Marlon Brando had affairs with Marvin Gaye, Richard Pryor and James Baldwin, saying of Brando, 鈥淗e was the most charming motherf***er you ever met.鈥

Jones didn鈥檛 just rip into celebrities 鈥 he also shared his thoughts on then-President of the US, now presidential candidate Donald Trump.

鈥淚 used to hang out with him. He鈥檚 a crazy motherf***er,鈥 Jones told the outlet, adding that he 鈥渦sed to date鈥 Trump鈥檚 daughter Ivanka.

鈥淪he had the most beautiful legs I ever saw in my life. Wrong father, though.鈥

Jones later apologised for some of his comments, saying at the time, 鈥淚 am an imperfect human and I鈥檓 not afraid to say it ... even at 85, it鈥檚 apparent that 鈥榳ord vomit鈥 and bad-mouthing is inexcusable,鈥 he explained.

鈥淲hen you live a public life, you have a responsibility to be an example, and since I do lead a public life, I wanted to make a public apology.鈥
