Robert Pattinson has admitted he could 鈥済enuinely be retiring鈥 after wrapping his Batman trilogy.
The 38-year-old actor made his debut as the Caped Crusader in Matt Reeves鈥 superhero blockbuster and is set to star in two more films to complete the series.
And the Twilight star - who kick-started his career at the age of 17 playing Cedric Diggory in 2005鈥檚 - has now admitted he may bid farewell to acting when he wraps the third flick.
Pattinson told the New York Times鈥 Style magazine: 鈥淚 could genuinely be retiring by the end of them. Not in a million years did I think I鈥檇 still be doing this when I got my first job. I can鈥檛 believe this is still going.鈥

Admitting acting takes up a lot of 鈥渆nergy鈥, he said: 鈥淭he main thing is constantly remembering what your job is. It鈥檚 a discipline to not use your energy on anything other than that.鈥

He said: 鈥淚f you鈥檙e just an actor, you don鈥檛 really meet with anyone other than directors who want you to play an .
鈥淒oing this, I鈥檝e met so many different people and I have something to provide them. It鈥檚 made me more understanding of what I鈥檓 doing as a performer, as well.鈥
The star is best known for his role as vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight franchise.
