A section of Auckland鈥榮 Northern Motorway has partially closed after a multi-vehicle crash and police are telling motorists to expect delays before the afternoon school rush.
Emergency services are at the three-vehicle crash on Auckland鈥檚 Northern Motorway, SH1, near the Silverdale off-ramp.
The crash, reported shortly before noon, has blocked all southbound lanes.
鈥淢otorists are advised to expect delays or seek an alternative route,鈥 police said.
鈥淏oth southbound lanes are now closed with traffic being diverted off SH1 at Silverdale off-ramp and returning to SH1 via Silverdale on-ramp. Delay your journey or expect delays,鈥 said NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi.
A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said two patients in moderate conditions were being transported to North Shore Hospital.
