A person has been taken into police custody after reports of an armed man outside this afternoon.
Police responded to 鈥渁 reported firearms sighting鈥 in Spencerville just north of the city after midday.
鈥淚nquiries are being made at an address with cordons in place,鈥 police said.
鈥淪ome staff are armed as a precaution.鈥
It came as reports circulated on social media of an armed man in the area.
Police later said they had taken one person into custody.
鈥淚nquiries remain ongoing,鈥 a police spokesman said.
