Calls for a clean up of the overgrown mess around the Christ Church Cathedral.
The fenced off area's been labelled embarrassing and a disgrace after being poorly maintained in the seven years since the earthquakes.
Chirstchurch City Councillor Deon Swiggs says something needs to be done.
"There is no excuse for the ground around the cathedral to be weeded like they are. There's a multitude of different grasses that you'd never see in the central heart of a city."
Swiggs says it's time to work out the health and safety aspects and get it tidied up.
