The risk of retaliatory attacks was always considered by police, Mitchell told TVNZ鈥檚 Breakfast this morning.听
鈥滻t鈥檚 obviously an awful finish to what was a family celebration鈥 so people鈥檚 focus should be on supporting family who were mourning.听
鈥滱ny thoughts of retaliation should disappear immediately.鈥听

鈥漈here is no future in utu. You will put more lives at risk and more time will be spent behind bars,鈥 he said.听
