A single mother of two young boys is fighting for her life in hospital after she crashed her car and spent days in the wreck before being rescued.

Hope Hoyland was found in her car, down a bank on Mangles Valley Rd near Murchison in the Tasman District, on Wednesday.

Hoyland ran off the road two days earlier, her friend Samara Anderson said.

鈥淪he wasn鈥檛 found until over 36 hours later. By some miracle, she was still alive, but in a critical condition,鈥 Anderson said.

鈥淪he was airlifted to Wellington Hospital with her mum, Nicky [Hoyland], and is now in an induced coma fighting for her life.鈥

A has been set up to go towards Hoyland鈥檚 recovery.

鈥淪he is the most incredible person - kind, strong, and full of love,鈥 Anderson said on her givealittle page.

鈥淪he is a devoted single mum to her two young boys Casien and Tommy, who are her world. Right now, as Hope fights to come back to them, we want to do everything we can to support her and her family.

鈥淲e don鈥檛 know what the road ahead will look like, but we do know they鈥檙e going to need all the help they can get.

鈥淓very donation will go directly to supporting Hope鈥檚 recovery, covering medical costs, helping with her mum鈥檚 accommodation costs ... and ensuring her boys are cared for during this unimaginable time.鈥

A fundraiser has also been started for her infirmed father, who was stuck in Australia due to Tropical Cyclone Alfred, to come to be by his daughter鈥檚 side.

鈥淲e need to get Hope鈥檚 dad home to be with his girl.鈥
