Councillors have joined concerned residents at a dangerous Karori intersection in a push for urgent safety improvements.
Wellington City Councillors Andy Foster and Sarah Free joined members of Karori By Bike at the intersection of Raroa Road and Chaytor Street at eight this morning.
Spokesperson Megan Hubscher says it was a successful exercise in demonstrating their concerns.
"We saw cars cutting bikes off, we saw pedestrians walking out across the road in front of cyclists, we saw cars having to brake suddenly because there was a cyclist they didn't expect.
"The council themselves are really keen to see some movement."
