T腻maki听Makaurau's borders lift at midnight tonight, but two northbound checkpoints will be in place south of Whangarei.听听
Northland District Police Commander,听Tony Hill,听told Heather du Plessis-Allan, it's their intent to check every passenger vehicle from the听SuperCity.听
鈥淥bviously, to be able to do that might be complex once we get operational,听but if we can do that that would听be ideal and we would like to.鈥听
Hill couldn't provide a specific answer on how long queues would be.听
鈥淣o,听we鈥檙e not 100% certain how long it will be, but we ask people to be prepared to be delayed and we鈥檒l try not to make those too unreasonable,听but we听really need to get started and see what traffic flow looks like.鈥听
