Israel’s recent attacks in Lebanon involving exploding pagers and radios has raised questions about timing and intentions.

At least 20 people were killed when electronic devices such as walkie-talkies, phones and laptops exploded today - adding to the losses from yesterday.

Otago University Professor for International Relations Robert Patman says Benjamin Netanyahu has ignored America's calls for a ceasefire - which is cause for concern.

"The last thing the Biden team wants is an escalation of the situation into a full-blown war involving Lebanon, Hezbollah, and possibly Iran."
