Kiwi icon Lucy Lawless has shifted her focus.
She鈥檚 made the move from actor to director 鈥 her debut film a documentary about Margaret Moth, an unconventional war correspondent.
The documentary 鈥楴ever Look Away鈥 premiered at last year鈥檚 New Zealand International Film Festival and is coming to Rialto Channel today as a special celebration of International Women鈥檚 Day.
Lawless told Jack Tame she was approached by Moth鈥檚 best friend to make the documentary, and was immediately swept up by the idea.
鈥淚 wrote back immediately, I mean, within 90 seconds, making all these crazy promises,鈥 she told Tame.
鈥淪aying, I will find the money, I will find the producers 鈥 the story has to be told.鈥
